The resort transfer is approximately 90 minutes through twisty and sometimes narrow roads. For those prone to motion sickness, we suggest booking the helicopter transfer instead. Not only is it a picturesque journey, but it also cuts down the transfer time to approximately 15 minutes. (plus a brief drive to the Grande).
Every beach in St. Lucia is open to the public, and although there are a handful of vendors offering tours, they are polite.. If you are interested, there are some good ones including the Simon Says & Joe Knows tour.
Some restaurants require you to make a reservation for dinner. If you are in Club Level, contact the concierge upon arrival to make reservations. If you are in a butler room, your butler will do it for you. For guests staying in the Luxury level rooms, there is a food and dining representative in the main lobby to help with reservations.

The ocean is not as calm as it is at Sandals Grande St. Lucia. From time to time you may see red flags which makes non-motorized water sports unavailable.
Many rooms are constructed on a cliff, so be prepared for a considerable amount of walking. Travel TIP...There are staff members in golf carts that will take you to where you'd like to go - with your cocktail in hand (of course!)

Split stays are some of our favorite ways to experience different cultures and with the regional airlines like Liat, they make it an easy thing to do.
When clients ask for a suggestion, we suggest the Western Caribbean because it has the most flight choices. The ideal duration for a trip from Antigua to St. Lucia is around 5 to 7 nights in both destinations. If possible, we recommend the use of regional airports.
For St. Lucia, you'll want to fly into SLU as it's closest to Sandals Grande St. Lucia, Sandals Regency LaToc and Sandals Halcyon. When visiting Grenada, it's OK to fly into the international airport is its next door to Sandals Grenada.
Same with Barbados, but here's a travel tip... in Barbados, make sure to get the Fast Track Immigration service. This is a busy airport with many flights coming in from Europe and America. Having this service will help you get on to your resort quickly. Good news is that in Barbados, the airport is just a quick 15 minute transfer to Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados.

When traveling into the island of St. Lucia you'll be arriving into UVF on the southwestern side of the island. There are two ways to get to Sandals Grande St. Lucia, Sandals Halcyon and Sandals LaToc. The first option is using the complimentary transfer which takes about 75/90 min through some windy and narrow roads. The second option is the helicopter transfer which comes at an additional cost and takes only about 15 min.
As the majority of visitors usually arrive between midday and 3pm, your initial day will primarily be dedicated to travel. To make the most of your time, we suggest dividing your day by starting at Stonefield Estates. This charming boutique resort consists of 14 villas featuring a private pool and stunning views of the Petite Piton.
The resort is conveniently located just a short 15-minute drive from UVF airport and offers affordable rates. Since most of the things to do in St. Lucia are concentrated on the west side of the island, you have the opportunity to unwind and discover everything that St. Lucia has to offer before heading to the northern region of the island for the rest of your stay at Sandals.

Our favorite hike is the Tet Paul Nature Trail which take you through the countryside and provides panoramic views of the island. The trail is an easy two-hour hike that's perfect for beginners too.
If you're a more experienced hiker looking for a challenge, our clients enjoy hiking the infamous Gros Piton. This challenging hike's peak is 2,619 feet above sea level and ends with breathtaking views of the island. This hike does require a guide and we're happy to help make all the arrangements!

Sandals Royal Bahamian features two large pools. One pool is the active pool with music and lots of activities. The other pool on the Balmoral side is quieter and best for relaxation.
The ocean can be quite cool during the winter months so we recommend visiting after the month of April.
The beach is not expansive but it is beautiful and swimmable with clear water and white sand.
We love the off shore island and the Red Lane Spa that’s attached to it. This island has an abundance of private areas to relax and is not over crowded. The beach is beautiful and you'll find hammocks in the water where you can unwind and maybe even have a turtle visit you.
Nightly entertainment is not lacking at Sandals Royal Bahamian. Here you’ll want to enjoy a nightcap at the Balmoral bar or Cricketers Pub.
The Red Lane Spa is worth a visit and we recommend having your experience on the private island.
